The evidence
In Torture Team, Philippe Sands analyses key evidence against
senior members of George W. Bush's administration. Sands exposes the
willingness of these central policymakers to question - and ultimately to flout -
established principles of international law.
Several relevant materials are already available online, including:
- The interrogation
log of Mohammed Al Qahtani (hosted by Time
magazine).
- The memo
signed by Donald Rumsfeld, then U.S. Secretary of Defense, in which he
queried a four hour limit on the amount of time detainees could be made
to stand (hosted by the U.S. Department of Defense).
- The recording
of John Yoo's debate with Philippe Sands at the World Affairs Council
on 31 October 2005 (hosted by the World Affairs
Council).
